Jesus In Us
Scripture:

The disciples saw Jesus do many other miraculous signs in addition to the ones recorded in this book. But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.

Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written.
Life Lessons from Jesus:
The Apostle John is distinctly clear on exactly why he wrote this Gospel. This also explains why he wrote it the way he did—why he chose to include some details and some conversations and not others. As he even says, there were far too many things Jesus did while He was on earth to describe them all. Even attempting it would be futile.
John’s was the last of the four Gospels to be written. He had time to choose his stories, his words. John states that he wrote this so we could also believe. So we, too, could have life in Jesus. The disciples who lived with Jesus had evidence of His divinity and His power all around them. John explains that he wrote so we can share in that, so we, also, can see the evidence and have the same opportunity to know Jesus.

How has this Life Along the Way journey with Jesus inspired you in your daily walk with Him?
What have you learned about His character that was unexpected?
What have you seen about His character that has been confirmed?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for spending time here on earth, among people, teaching and loving them. Thank You for giving us evidence, through your disciples, of Your power, Your compassion, and Your message of hope. As I read about You and Your interactions with those around You, please move my heart to be more like Yours. And help me to understand Your intentions and meaning as I study Your teachings and Your actions. In Your name, Amen.
